As we all strive for a better world, the King parade is an excellent way to demonstrate our unified commitment to peace and brotherhood. We look forward to celebrating the life of this great American with you. This year’s theme is an excellent creed for us all.

Dear Parade Participants: The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Committee will be celebrating its 34th Annual Birthday Parade. The Committee was founded in November 1981 celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by keeping the dream alive. We cordially invite the Las Vegas community to join us in this celebration at the largest parade in the state of Nevada. This year’s theme: Living the Dream: “The Movement Continues.” The parade will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 in downtown Las Vegas beginning at 10 a.m. The parade entry fee is $125. DO NOT THROW CANDY OR ANY ITEMS AT ANY TIME DURING THE PARADE because of possible injury to parade participants or spectators. This year, we will only be accepting 100 entries. We are accepting completed applications now. Please submit your entry application as soon as possible. The parade application deadline is postmarked Friday, December 18, 2015.

No applications will be accepted after the deadline. PLEASE NOTE: CAR CLUBS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PARADE. The parade starts at Fourth Street and Gass Avenue, head north on Fourth Street to Ogden (where it will conclude). The parade will disburse on Fourth Street and Stewart.
